Learning what the dealer paid for the car is important so you can negotiate the price you want to pay for the car.

Now that your homework is complete, plan your negotiating stradegy. Compare your sticker price against the invoice "bottom line" price.

Always bargin from the bottom line price never from the sticker price.
4. Play the Game
Don't get discouraged. If the car or truck you want is in tight demand you might have to pay the sticker price.
5. If You Have a Trade-In
Don't mention you have a trade-in until you have agreed on the selling price. Be prepared to know what your trade-in is worth before using it in your negotiation process.
